The iOptron CEM40 / GEM45 LiteRoc tripod is fitted with a die-cast aluminum top with sturdy stainless steel tripod legs. This tripod has a 1.75" upper leg section with a 1.5" diameter lower section (same as the 2" tripod). You'll notice that this results in a lighter tripod with stability that is very comparable to the old 2" tripod. The improved leg cuffs and sockets provide you further rigidity, with redesigned leg lock levers securing the extensions position.
